Louis P. Santos

Louis P. Santos, 82, our loving husband, father and brother, passed away Nov. 27, 2004, in Tucson.

Mr. Santos was born in Winkelman and soon worked on the Santos Ranch near Kearny, farming until he was 17.

During World War II, he joined the United States Navy and served his country from 1944 to 1946.

He worked for ASARCO for 38 years before retiring.

Mr. Santos loved gardening and planting flowers, but he especially adored his grandchildren. His commitment to his family and his warm heart will always be remembered.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary E. Santos; daughter, Diane Gonzales; dons, Richard, David and Chuck Santos; brothers, Rudy, Arnold and Joe Santos; sisters, Becky Diaz, Julie Flores, Charlotte Lorona, Velia Montano and Flora Pino; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary was recited for Mr. Santos this morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden followed by Father Dale Branson celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors was at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.

Griffith Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
