Theodore Albert Steinberg

Theodore Albert Steinberg, 83, passed away on Oct. 2, 2008, in Pearland, Texas. He was born on Sept. 5, 1925, in Bertha, Minn., to Albert and Amanda Steinberg. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, receiving a Purple Heart.

Theodore worked in the grocery business for his entire life. He loved to travel, take photographs and work in his garden. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years in North Dakota and Arizona before he was no longer able.

Theodore was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Margaret (Reoplle) Steinberg; brother Robert Steinberg; and sister Margaret Steinberg. He is survived by his two daughters, Carla (Steinberg) Guillot and her family, Everett Guillot and their two daughters, Katia and Hannah of Houston, and his second daughter Jeanne (Steinberg) Butler and her two children, Nathan and Katrina, residing in Arizona and North Dakota.

The funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fargo, N.D., with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery North.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Ted to Hospice of the Red River Valley, the American Legion or Disabled American Veterans.
