Frederick V. Tully, born May 13, 1931, finally lost his long and courageous battle with prostate cancer on May 5, 2005. He peacefully left this world with his family at his side in his home in Sedona.

He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Frederick V. Tully of Rensselaer, N.Y. He attended Christian Brothers Academy and Van Rensselaer High School, where he excelled in basketball and as a pitcher in baseball. From 1951 to Œ54 he was on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, and served his country with distinction in the Korean War. Later he studied acting in Sandy Meisner's Professional Class in New York and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

As a TV announcer and actor, Fred worked on New York and Los Angeles stages, in several dramatic television series in the United States and Italy, and in international films in Europe. He is survived with great love, gratitude, and the fondest of memories by his wife Catana, his son Patrick, and daughter-in-law Bunok. His integrity, decency and courage, and his delightful humor will be greatly missed by those in his extended family and countless friends spread through the United States, Latin America, and Europe.

A memorial service will be May 13 at the Church of the Good Shepherd where Fred worshiped in Beverly Hills, Calif. Donations in his name may be made out to the "San Carlos Foundation/Fotokids," in Guatemala, and sent to Fotokids, P.O. Box 661447, Miami Springs FL 33266

Westcott Funeral Home was entrusted with these arrangements.
