Kay Phillips O'Dell, age 68, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on March 30, 2005. She was born in Phoenix and raised in Safford. She met her future husband during her senior year in high school. She was married in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple on May 8, 1956 to her sweetheart, Elwood Charles O'Dell. They were married for 49 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Janice Phillips and a son, Phillip Craig.

Survivors include husband, Elwood; daughter-in-law, Bev; son, Charles Curtis (wife, Toni); daughter, Connie Lyn Clark (husband, Stewart); son, Troy Dennis (wife, Rose); daughter, Dee Ann Reilly (husband, Kevin); grandsons, Scott, Brennen, Shane, Troy, Brock, Brysen and Seann; grandaughters, Chelsea, Lindsay, Amanda, Alissa, Jenna and Kaytlin; also, a sister, Michelle of Safford and a brother, David also of Safford.

Kay raised her family in Mesa. She later, with her husband, moved to Pinetop where they spent their summers. Kay loved genealogical research and published many national newsletters. She worked at many jobs in the LDS Church. Her favorite calling was working in the Arizona Temple with her husband for many years.

Visitation at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services were at LDS Power Ranch Ward, 4170 S. Ranch House Parkway, Gilbert, AZ (corner of Germann and Ranch House Parkway - 1/2 mile west of Power Rd and 1 mile north of Queen Creek Rd).

Kay Phillips O'Dell, 68, of Gilbert died March 30, 2005.
