Audrey Barbara (Channon) Wingfield

Audrey B. Wingfield, Born June 22, 1922 peacefully passed on to be with our Lord on December 29, 2004. Her brother and his wife, Bill and Donna Channon and her three stepchildren and three children survive her: Elva Coer, Phoenix, AZ, Judy Wood, Tucson, AZ, Sally Randall, Pine, AZ, Byron Beaver, Carpinteria. CA, Vonette Ewing, Tucson, AZ, Valerie Wimmer, St. George, UT. She was very proud of her 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren all of their kindness and accomplishments.

Her husband, Gale Wingfield, parents Ray and Hannah Channon, brother Robert, sister Anne, and beloved daughter Vicki Bush precede her in death.

Gale and Audrey, owned and operated Mormon Lake Lodge and Cowboy Steakhouse, outside of Flagstaff for thirteen years. From 1973 to 1980, after selling the Lodge, they saw an opportunity of another restaurant operation in Sonoita, AZ, The Steak Out Restaurant and Sonoita Mercantile. The next move was back to the Verde Valley to build an adobe home on 40 acres with a pecan orchard. She and Gale were busy in real estate, gardening, and family activates until Gale's death in 1988. Audrey continued in real estate and property investments in Rimrock and Camp Verde.

Services will be held at Montezuma Chapel in Rimrock, AZ at 11 a.m. Monday January 3, 2005. Fellowship gathering held immediately after and burial services at 2 p.m. at Clear Creek Cemetery, Camp Verde, AZ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Montezuma Chapel, 3450 E. Rusty Spurs Dr., Rim Rock, AZ 86335. Arrangements by Adair F.H. Dodge Chapel, Tucson, AZ.
