| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, February 01, 2011 Bob and Margie Donner moved to Congress from Mesa, Ariz., three and a half years ago and have loved every minute they have been there. Bob was born and raised in California and spent most of his childhood in Bishop, Caif. He wound up in Arizona where he raised his children and taught seventh and eighth grade science in the Scottsdale school district. Robert C. Donner was a teacher. He taught the scientific method, but his greatest lesson was agap/. Agap/ is unselfish love. It is going through life with passion, devotion and tenderness that few achieve. He loved his family. His wife Margie Donner, his daughter Marci Hoehne, his son Kevin Donner and his fiance Nichole, Stepsons Chris Benes and his wife Wendy, Randy Benes, and grandchildren Cole Benes, Taylor Billingsley, Layne Hoehne, our angel in heaven Kaitlyn Benes, Brody Benes, and Mallory Hoehne. Bob is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Dave and Betty Donner, who have just recently moved to Wickenburg. He taught his students and collected friends with agap/. Not too many people can be described in one word. Agap/ says it all. He will be missed. Happy Trails Bob. The funeral will be Sunday (Feb. 6) at the First Baptist Church of Congress at 2 p.m. Another celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the spring when family and friends can join together again. |
