George Richard Atterson

In loving memory of George Richard Atterson, who passed away on Oct. 25, 2008.

George was born Dec. 12, 1937, in New Castle, Ind. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his daughter Denise Anderson; his son Mathew Atterson; his daughter-in-law Joan Rasmussen; his granddaughter Francis Anderson; his brother Charles Atterson; his sister-in-law Betty Atterson; his stepsons, Quenton Borreson, Shane Borreson, and John Zaretzke; and by Shane's wife Tracy. Additionally, George is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and so very many friends.

George was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly, and his parents, John Atterson and Mable Leadbetter.

George and Dorothy moved to Prescott, Ariz., in 2004, from Washington State. Before retiring, George worked for Rainier Brewery in Seattle, Wash., for 37 years. George loved golf and was Men's Club Champion at the Nile Golf and Country Club in Seattle four different years. George truly never met a stranger, was never at a loss for words and always had a story to tell. He was a kind and loving person and will be missed by many.

Services will be in Seattle in the near future. An opportunity to get together and remember George will occur here in Prescott; date and time will be announced.
