Jessie (Lujan) Sotelo

Jessie Lujan Sotelo, 70, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at her home in Kearny with her family by her side.

She was born July 17, 1936 in Hayden to Jesus A. and Pastora Perez Lujan. A lifetime resident of the area, she was raised her and in turn raised her family here. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Sotelo leaves behind her loving husband, Rene R. Sotelo of Kearny; sons, Rene (Robin) Sotelo Jr. of Oracle, Eric (Tracy) Sotelo of Gilbert and David (Tamy) Sotelo of Kearny; sisters, Teresa Apodaca of Kearny, Gertrude Showman of Dripping Springs, Angelina Meza of Kearny and Molly Acuna of Kearny; grandchildren, Jonathan, Audry, Jacob, Brandon, Alyssa and Cory; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Sotelo will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Aboyi at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.

Griffith Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
