| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 18, 2005 Mary Lou Abril, born April 25, 1942 in Lacon, Illinois, died February 15, 2005 in Phoenix, AZ. Ms. Abril was a Social Security Examiner for the State of Arizona. She came to Arizona in 1952 from Illinois, and attained a Master's Degree from ASU. In an earlier career, she had been a Physical Education Teacher at Sunnyslope High School as Miss GREENWELL. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jim Schallmann, nephew Bob and Amy Schallmann and children. Other family members include Mike, Lisa, Ryan and Jake Abril. She loved her great nieces and nephew and enjoyed her terrier dogs and tennis. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard L. Greenwell and niece Theresa M. Schallmann. Visitation was at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Rosary and Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 East Campbell, Phoenix, AZ. Contributions may be made to the Arizona Arthritis Foundation, 1313 E. Osborn Rd. #200, Phoenix, AZ 85014. |
