| Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on February 18, 2011 - Tony Mier, 74, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. He was born on October 11, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA. to Theresa and Manual Mier. Tony attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, CA. with his best friend, Diane, whom he married on April 28, 1956. They moved to Lake Havasu City 25 years ago, coming from Newport Beach, CA. He spent 38 years of his life building and maintaining swimming pools. Tony was a people person with many friends, most of whom are from the "good old days" in the channel. He was fondly referred to as "The Mayor of the Channel" by all his friends, including the weekenders. Tony loved being with his grandkids, Cris, Steven and Travis as well as their friends and would enjoy water skiing, tubing and driving his boat with all of them. Tony was and will always be loved and deeply missed by his family and friends as well as his dogs, Jorgie Girl, Bella Bleau and his Siamese cat, Sushi. Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Diane Mier of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; daughter, Kelly LeProhon; grandchildren, Cristina and Steven LeProhon and Travis Mier; sister, Josephine Sotro. He was preceded in death by his sons, Tony and Christopher Mier. Services will be held at a later date in Lake Havasu City as well as Newport Beach, CA. |
