Karen Christopher passed away on Dec. 18, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. With that battle being over, her family would at this time like to acknowledge and give special thanks to all the wonderful people that cared for her in her final days.

She was born Karen Jo Yaney on Feb. 6, 1948, to Richard Patrick Yaney and Naomi Adams Yaney, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Upon becoming a Spirit filled believer in Jesus Christ in 1988, Karen dedicated the rest of her life to giving back to the One who saved her and gave her eternal life. She gave of her heart, time, and talents
to Christian ministries for the homeless and Christian drug recovery groups such as Church on the Street, in Prescott. Her love for music
was always a part of that giving, playing whenever she was given the opportunity to praise or glorify her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through song.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Conrad, and great-granddaughter, Justice Lynn Horton.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Christopher; her parents; brother, Curtis (Angie) Yaney of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Joyce Davidson of Herriman, Utah; Chris Ansari of San Bernardino, Calif.; and Eva Marcus of Mesa. She is also survived by her children, John (Tammy) Sellars of San Bernardino, Calif., Tracy Conrad of El Monte, Calif., Stacy (Kirk) Jones of Cedar City, Utah, Jeremiah (Cissy) Sellars of Kapolei, Hawaii; as well as grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas, Jackson "Flap Jack," James, Kimberly, Andrea, Noah, Adam and Elijah.

A celebration of her life will be held at Church on the Street on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at 1 p.m.

Her absence in the Christian community will indeed be felt. Her presence, her love, and her laughter will be missed by all.

Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
