Stella Hoadley Dies October 15

Stella Taylor Hoadley passed away suddenly after a lingering illness, Friday, October 15, 1971 at 11:15 a.m. in her home at Earlham, Iowa at the age of 84 years and 47 days.

Stella was born in Madison County, Iowa, on August 29, 1887 to Thomas and Montana Bennett Duff.

She was united in marriage to Orlando Taylor on March 28, 1904 and they resided in the Earlham neighborhood until his death in 1940.

She was married to John Hoadley on December 22, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1970.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Earlham and officer of the Ladies Aid. She belonged to the Study and Social Club and was a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star of Iowa, Earlham Chapter Number 294.

She lived her entire life in Madison County with the exception of the winters which she and John spent in their home in Mesa, Arizona.

Stella leaves to mourn her passing Mr. and Mrs. Iliff Hession of Torrance, California, several cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
