Doris I. Bosick Williams, age 85, went home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, in Dewey. She was in her own home, and surrounded by loving family as she had wanted.

Doris was bom Oct. 13, 1920, in Cottonwood, the second of five children. Born to Dan E. and Elon (Stewart) Gilcrease, she lived all of her life in Yavapai County.

At an early age she married George Bosick of Humboldt, and this 28-year union was blessed with seven children: four sons and three daughters.

After George's death, she married Russell L. Williams and they enjoyed 18 years together on their Dewey property where they planted trees, alfalfa and a vegetable garden large enough to share with the whole community.

Doris was preceded in death by her husbands, George and Russell; her son, George Giles Bosick; an infant grandchild and great-grandchild.

Survivors include sons, Mike Bosick of Dewey, Dan Bosick (Lynn) of Meeker, Colo, and Gil Bosick of Apache Junction; daughters, Elon Greenwood (Glen) of Kansas City, Mo., Doris Froemming (Dennis) of Lake Havasu City, Mary Ann Culley of Eiko, Nev.; daughter-in-law Linda Bosick of Humboldt; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Doris is also survived by her siblings Florine Nelson of Montana, Dan Gilcrease, Bert Glicrease and Tad Gilcrease all of Arizona, and many, many much-loved nieces, nephews and "adopted children."

Doris was a loving, generous woman whose devotion to family, friends, and those in need will never be equaled. Children, animals, birds, word games and jigsaw puzzles captured her attention. She was enthralled by her first picture of "End of the Trail" and delighted in accepting this memorabilia in any form.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 9th 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3950 N. Valorie Dr. in Prescott Valley with a reception following at American Legion Post 78, on Highway 69 in Humboldt.

Services entrusted Hampton Funeral Home.
