June Mitchell, age 73, of Chino Valley, passed away Nov. 10, 2005, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on May 15, 1932, to Dutch immigrants.

She moved to Phoenix in the 1940s. There she met and married the love
of her life, Victor Mitchell, who preceded her in death four years ago.

Besides being a loving mother and wife, she was also very involved in the Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Phoenix where she sang in the choir for 10 years. In Chino Valley, she became a lector and a Eucharistic minister at St. Catherines Laboure.

Her interests included, sewing, gardening, bird watching and her Substantial collection of anything delft.

She was the mother of 10 children, Michael (Sue), Kathy, Mark (Eileen), Debby (Wayne), Becky (James), Paul (Jen), David (Tina), Julie and Vicky, also an son Beanie, who preceded her in death 23 years ago.

She was grandma to 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

We will miss you, Mom, but we know you have found peace in Heaven with Daddy.

A memorial service was held yesterday.
