| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 06, 2008 Richard David Morgan, 88, of Prescott, Ariz., born March 16, 1920, in Newark, N.J., passed away Nov. 5, 2008, at YRMC in Prescott. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society Division, 2724 E. Larkin, Suite #9, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. ------------------------------------------ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Richard David Morgan, 88, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away Nov. 5, 2008. He is the son of Robert and Jessamine Morgan and was born March 16, 1920, in Newark, N.J. Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his beloved sweetheart whom he married on Sept. 15, 1944. Together they have two sons, Rick and Jeff. Dick was a resident of Prescott for 21 years and previously lived in California. He served his country proudly during WWII in the Army Air Force and was an insurance administrator for over 50 years. Dick enjoyed playing poker and bridge with his friends at the Hidden Valley Recreation Center, water-skiing and snow skiing. He was proudest of his wife Helen of 57 years, his sons, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dick is survived by sons Rick (Pam) Morgan of Malibu, Calif., and Jeff Morgan of Prescott, Ariz.; grandchildren Jason (Carolina), Jeremiah (Angel), Josh (Sarah), Alewa (Talani), Eric and Matthew; and great-grandchildren Ea, Nakue, Tia, Elena and Malia. A celebration of his life for family and friends will take place on Dec. 6, 2008. Information provided by survivors. ----------------------------- Richard David Morgan 3/16/1920 - 11/5/2008 Richard David Morgan passed away suddenly on November 5, 2008 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. He was 88 years old. He is the son of Robert & Jessamine Morgan, born on March 16, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey. Richard is preceded in death by wife Helen who passed on November 22, 2001. He married his sweetheart Helen Erquist on September 15, 1944. Together they had two son's Jeff and Rick. Richard was a resident of Arizona for 27 years and previously of California where some of his family still resides. Before he retired, he served his Country proudly in the United States Army and as a Insurance Administrator for over 50 years. Richard enjoyed playing poker and bridge with his friends at the Hidden Valley recreation Center, water skiing, and snow skiing. He was proudest of his wife Helen of 57 years and his son's and there accomplishments. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
