The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 29, 1995, p. 2 William Bernard Leach of Wickenburg died March 27 at St. Johns Memorial Hospital in Santa Monica, California. He was 76. Mr. Leach was born December 30, 1918 in Braddock, Pennsylvania. Mr. Leach was a former owner of the Kay El Bar guest ranch in Wickenburg, and was a prominent winter visitor to the community for the past 25 years. He was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mr. Leach graduated from Carrick High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Leach was president of the G&W Leach Co. in Pittsburgh and attended the First Church of Christ Scientist in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He was also a member of the Christian Science Society in Wickenburg. Mr. Leach was a member of Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160, was past president of the Wickenburg Shrine Club, and a member of the El Zaribah Shrine Temple in Phoenix. He also rode with the Desert Caballeros for 10 years, and later assisted the D.C. Riders in an administrative capacity as a coordinator of their events. Mr. Leach was also a member of the Los Caballeros Golf Club. He brightened and enhanced the lives of all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; a son, Gary William Leach and wife Pat of Sea Girt, New Jersey; granddaughters Samantha Leach of Pacifica, California and Christi Constantine and husband Steve of Gilderland, New York; and step-children Mark and wife Eve Kilmer and baby grandson Thomas Wesley, and Val and wife Joanne Kilmer and granddaughter Mercedes Rose. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. In accordance with Mr. Leach’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital, Fairfax Avenue at Virginia Street, Salt Lake city, Utah 84103-4399; or the Christian Science Society, Drawer II, Wickenburg, AZ 85358, in lieu of flowers.
