Darlene M. McDonald of Wickenburg died July 15. She was 63. Mrs. McDonald was born June 2, 1932 in Duluth, Minnesota. She had lived in Wickenburg for one year, moving here from Mira Loma, California.
Mrs. McDonald came to California in 1952 and moved to Wisconsin in 1980 where she and her husband, John Edward McDonald owned a small business. They then moved back to California about 10 years later. She worked as a police dispatcher for the cities of Upland and Claremont in California for approximately 20 years.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Edward, of Wickenburg; seven daughters, Kathleen McDonald of Ontario, California; Jacqueline Smith of Montclair, California, Susan Ennis of Ontario, California, Bonnie Aspey of Casa Grande, Nancy Ridenhour of Picacho, Carol Castiaux of Ontario, California, and Bette Ennis of Indio, California; mother Pearl Foley of Minnesota; one sister, Georgia Pomroy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two brothers, Jack Srok of Minnesota and Thomas Srok of Georgia; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Srok; sister, Bette Bingstad and brother Richard Srok.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 18 at Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with Rosary following.
Funeral services will be today (Wednesday, July 19) at 10 a.m. at the mortuary with graveside services and burial to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Father John Vogt will officiate.
All arrangements were handled by Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
