David Patrick Casey “Casey” passed away Sep. 6, at 46 years of age in Wickenburg, Ariz. He was formerly of Wethersfield and Rocky Hill, Conn. He died after a long illness.

He attended Corpus Chriisti and South Catholic High. As a young man he excelled in Irish Football on the Glastonbury Irish Club Team. He haa tenacious desire to live life to the fullest and to that end he leaves close friendships scattered across the country from Connecticut to Arizona, many of whom surrounded him to the very end.

Casey was dedicated landscaper, large-machine operator and cement finisher.

He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth “Betty” Casey.

He leaves his wife Sharon Casey of Wickenburg, Ariz., the pride and joy of his life daughter Courtney Casey of Scottsdale, Ariz., and his extended family of 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as his father John (Jack) Casey and his wife Carolyn of Wethersfield.

He also leaves his sister Marie and Bill DeMilla of Newington, brother Jack and Gina Casey of Wethersfield, brother Tim and Franca Casey of Wethersfield, brother Michael and Maryellen Casey of Glastonbury, his sister Elizabeth Casey-Dalkowski of Newington and Bruce Dalkowski of Wethersfield.

Uncle Dave was loved by his nieces and nephews Billy and Chris, Tim and Kelly, Griffin, Breden and Brittany. He was predeceased by his nephew Connor.

Casey will now be fishing for eternity in the creeks of the lands beyond. A celebration of life will be held at the Rancher bar on Sept. 28 at 1 p. m.
