Donald M. Erickson, 53, of Mesa, AZ, passed away suddenly on March 3, 2005. He was born on January 30, 1952 in Phoenix, AZ to Palmer and Katherine Erickson. Don is survived by his wife of 25 years, Denise; his 8 children: Suzanne, Rachel, Daniel, Rebecca, Jacob, Kristen, Robert, and Stephen; and 2 grandchildren, with another on the way.

Don was an admired educator and principal with Mesa Public Schools for 30 years, serving at Lincoln, Crismon, Longfellow, Hermosa Vista, and Falcon Hill Elementary. He served as President of the Alta Mesa Stake for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 6 years. Don was a role model of service and compassion for his family, students, and colleagues. He had a strong testimony of his faith and loved to share it with others. Don was especially remembered for his unforgettable performances as Elvis Presley. Don was devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family loves him and looks forward to being reunited and living together forever. Funeral services were held at the Red Mountain Institute of Religion, 1726 E. McKellips.
