Diane Marie (Gorman) Mabante

Posted 2011-03-30 by Pat Wilson
Diane Marie Mabante M.C., NBCC, CPC passed away peacefully in her home on April 20, 2004.

She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on April 18, 1950; the second daughter of Patricia and Michael Gorman.

She was a beloved wife to James A. Mabante for the past thirty years; and devoted mother to Nicole Angela and Micah Christian.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University in 1995 and obtained her Master's in Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 1998. The Salvation Army and Calvary Rehabilitation were the recipients of her work; prior to her starting her own private practice. She changed lives thru her commitment and dedication to victims of domestic violence, addiction and recovery.

She is survived by her precious Irish mother, Patricia Gorman, and her three sisters, Kathleen Gorman Rice, Nancy Gorman Rogers, and Colleen Elizabeth Will. We are comforted knowing she is holding the daughter she has never seen, Ann Marie Mabante; and reunited with her father, Michael Gorman.

Diane and her family are eternally grateful for the love and faithfulness of her family and friends; among them, her adored mother-in-law Alice Mabante, her dear sister-in-law Anita Leach, her beautiful aunts Mary Ann Bushaw and Jane Gunther; and her Uncle John whose humor always blessed her!

Thank you to her precious friends: Darla Goodin, Marge Kroll, Lois Slason, and her many Christian brothers and sisters who ministered to her in her many hours of need. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for all of you.

A memorial service was held at Scottsdale Worship Center, 6508 East Cactus Road, Scottsdale, Arizona on Friday, April 23, 2004. Viewing and the service with burial will begin at 2:00 PM. A memorial Mass and celebration of her life was held on Saturday, April 24 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, at 6261 North Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014.

Diane, dearest Mother, beloved Sister, You will always be with us, and we are eternally consoled by your love. We look forward to reuniting with you in heaven!
