Earl Leon Taylor

Earl Leon Taylor, 82, passed away on August 26, 2004 in Chandler, Arizona.

He was born in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico on August 23, 1922, the tenth child of Charles Franklin and Martha B. Taylor.

He married Mary Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple nearly 62 years ago. Earl was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, a farmer, an insurance and real estate agent and a mortgage broker.

He is survived by his wife, Mary. Together they are the parents of ten children, Susann (preceded in death), Mary Ann (Montgomery), Earl, Jr., Richard, David, Steven, Barbara (Shumway), Annette (Keeling), James, and Rene (Robinson). They also have 45 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Earl fulfilled many callings in the LDS Church, including bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, and a sealer in the Mesa Temple.

Visitation was at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services were at LDS Udall Ward Chapel, 525 E. 2nd Ave. (2nd Ave. and Pioneer), Mesa, AZ with visitation one-hour prior to the service.
