STETTMEIER, Karl-Alex Erik Karl-Alex Erik Stettmeier, 60, of Phoenix, died on February 13, 2004. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam (1st Air Calvary Division). He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Multiple Air medals, Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts & the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a helicopter pilot for 30 years flying around the world. He raced cars in the ASRA Sports Car Club. He is survived by his wife Elayne, sons Darrell (Julie) & Randy, mother Dia, sister Lissa, brothers Erik (Mary), Randall (Judy) & Alois, grandchildren Matthew & Lucas. Graveside services with Honors were held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Cave Creek & Pinnacle Peak Roads. Contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or to the Animals Benefit Club, 3111 E. St. John Rd., Phx, AZ 85032. Arrangements by Paradise Chapel. Published in the Arizona Republic on 3/4/2004. |
