John C. Lamb

Born in Douglas, Ariz. March 17, 1913; the son of John and Annie Lamb died June 3, 2006. John was raised in Bisbee, Ariz., and came to Tucson where he attended Tucson High School and the University of Arizona and was later employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad for 35 years.

He enjoyed a life long interest in aviation and earned a Private Pilots License in 1930 at the age of 17.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ruth (Goff). Survived by his only son, John (Diane) of Tucson; daughter-in-law Rebecca (Ralph) Burns of Prescott; granddaughter Lora (Mark) Whittemore of El Paso, Texas; grandson Kevin (Leigh) Lamb of Gallatin, Tenn. and three great grandsons Matthew, Brian and Braydon John.

Funeral services Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., Evergreen Mortuary, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice, 400 Magee Rd., Tucson, Ariz., 85704.

The family is grateful for the love and care that he received while living in the Kanmar Place assisted living home.
