O.J. “Jay” Sisco Jr. of Wickenburg died January 30 in Sun City. He was 67. Mr. Sisco was born June 20, 1931 in Seagraves, Texas, and had lived in Arizona for three years.
He spent 20-plus years in the service of his country in the United States Air Force. He served tours in Vietnam, Morocco, Thailand, France and Germany.
Mr. Sisco was not a religious man, but he was a good man. Everyone was his friend, and he never met a stranger. Lord, do us a favor and give him a shot, a smoke and an ol’ slouch hat, and let him sit with Hank and Dean and let him sing his favorite song again. Take care of him and remember him for what he was…no more, no less.
Survivors include Larry and Thesy Sisco; Kathy and John Simpson; Carol Sisco; Terri and Myron Mull; seven grandchildren; and good friend Lois Michaels.
No services were held. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
