O'DELL, Millie Giroux Millie Giroux O'Dell of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2005. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent the early years of her life in the St. Louis area. She came to Arizona with her family in 1954. After working for Casa Decor Design Studio for four years and as studio manager at Hymans Furniture for three years, she decided to open her own studio. She formed Millie Giroux Interiors, Custom Designs in 1963. Millie's client list was long, including Senator and Mrs. Barry Goldwater; the owner of the Arizona Republic, Mrs. Charles Stauffer; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bimson of Valley National Bank; and many others including John F. Long Homes. Millie is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Carter. She is survived by her husband, Raymond O'Dell, a son Richard Hildebrandt, and a granddaughter, Jessica Carter. A memorial service was held at the Chaparral Christian Church, 6451 E. Shea Blvd. Cremation is being conducted by Paradise-Sunset Chapel. Published in The Arizona Republic on 2/6/2005. |
