William Ashton (Bill) Whitlow

William "Bill" Ashton Whitlow, husband of Lee Moore Whitlow was born in Willcox, Ariz. to Doyle Henderson Whitlow and Rachel Elizabeth Lewis Whitlow on Dec. 7, 1927. He went home to be with the Lord, on Nov. 7, 2008. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lee, and four children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, Richard Doyle, W. Bruce and Pamela Sue and his first wife Mary Beth Whitlow, two sisters and three brothers.

Bill served honorably in the Navy in WWII on the USS Cogswell in the Okinawa Campaign and the Air Strike on Japan. His many accomplishments include 41 years service in law enforcement. He lived a life of giving to others and trying to follow the golden rule.

Services are pending. Hampton Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

William Ashton Whitlow, 80, born Dec. 7, 1927, in Willcox, Ariz., passed away Nov. 7, 2008, in Prescott, Ariz.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's name to the First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hampton Funeral Home.
