Abbie Kate (Kay) (Watson) Gordo

Abbie Kate "Kay" Gordo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Oct. 21, 2005, at Yavapai Regional Hospital in Prescott, Ariz. She was 83 years old. Kay was born Oct. 1, 1922, to George A. and Willie Louise (English) Watson, in Memphis, Texas.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Macho (Ed) of Las Vegas, Nev. and Barbara Van Fossen (John) of Prescott; grandchildren, Richard Macho (Therese) of Prescott Valley, Kelly Byrd (Aaron) of Prescott Valley, Robin Yanez (Rick) of Las Vegas, Nev., Ronna Hopkins of Las Vegas, Nev. and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.

Grandma Kay will always be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous spirit. She was able to find humor and good in every circumstance and her positive outlook on life touched every person she met.

Her love for family and friends made us all special in Grandma's eyes. We were blessed to be a part of her life.

Family members gathered to celebrate Kay's life at her daughter's home in Prescott on Oct. 23, 2005.
