Rites Saturday For John Beste

Requiem mass will be sung at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose, Minn., Saturday morning for John H. Beste, father of Mrs. Robert J. Sessa of Wickenburg who passed away in Community Hospital here while he and Mrs. Beste were visiting their daughter and family. He was admitted to the hospital April 10 and died following surgery April 15.

Mr Beste was born in Melrose July 17, 1892 and lived most of his life in that community. He was a veteran of World War 1. He was in the plumbing business, served as Town Marshal of Melrose, worked for the government in Alaska and later in the Kraft cheese plant in Melrose. He retired five years ago. Mr. & Mrs. Beste had been in Wickenburg since March 11.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Beste; three daughters, Mrs. Sessa, Mrs. Elaine Niehoff of Melrose and Mrs. Jovita Baker of Minneapolis and a son, Dr. Gerald Beste of Fort Macleod, Canada. Also a sister, Miss Helen Beste and brother Henry Beste, both of Melrose, and 10 grandchildren.
