Robert L. Brookes

Robert Lawrence Brookes, 71, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 12, 2007. He was born March 8, 1935, in Aurora, Ill., to Walter and Bernice Brookes.

He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957.

Survivors include his wife Gayle (Nolan) Brookes; children Margo Medhaug (Tom), Steve Brookes (Kim), Carolyn Brookes (Dean), Suzanne Rickman (Gary), Karen Simmons (Ray), Sandy Fidanzia (Tom), five stepchildren and many grandchildren.

Services for Robert will be at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, on March 3 at 2 p.m. The omission of flowers is requested, with memorials made to the Humane Society, 437 S. Main St., Unit 9, Cottonwood AZ 86326.

Robert Lawrence Brookes, 71 of Cottonwood, Arizona. Services for Robert will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, Arizona on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. Born March 8, 1935 in Aurora, Illinois, he passed away Monday, February 12, 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Robert was the beloved husband of Gayle (nee Nolan), loving father to Margo (Tom) Medhaug, Steve (Kim) Brookes, Carolyn (Dean) Brookes, Suzanne (Gary) Rickman, Karen (Ray) Simmons, Sandy (Tom) Fidanzia, five stepchildren including, Bruce (Kim) Truby and dear brother-in-law to Dennis (Estelle) Nolan. He was a devoted grandfather to many grandchildren. Robert serviced in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957.

His parent's Walter and Bernice Brookes of Prescott, Arizona preceded him in death.

The omission of flowers is requested, with memorials made to Humane Society @ 437 S. Main St. unit 9, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
