The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 27, 1961, p. 3 Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Guy Cooper Desert Caballeros throughout the country will learn with sorrow of the death of one of their members, Guy D. Cooper, of Naperville, Ill., which occurred following a heart attack while he was in Washington, D. C. recently on business. He was eating breakfast in a Washington hotel the morning of October 11 when he was stricken and died without regaining consciousness, according to a message received by gene Francis of Phoenix, executive secretary of the Desert Caballeros. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 14, in Naperville. Mr. Cooper is survived by the widow and two sons. He was engaged in the trucking business and his trucking lines operate throughout the middlewest and east. He rode with the Desert Caballeros from 1955 through 1959 and again last year. He had been a winter guest here at the Monte Vista and Slash bar K guest ranches. |
