The State Journal-Register, Springfield, Illinois Friday, September 28, 2001 WAVERLY - Alma Lucille Ritter, 85, of Waverly and Prescott, Ariz., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born July 24, 1916, in Modesto, the daughter of Samuel E. and Leta Grimmett Gordon. She married George Lewis Ritter in Dallas; he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Ritter was a homemaker, worked with her husband for many years in the operation of the Mobil Oil Station in Waverly and worked for several years at the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church and Wilbur Chapter 358 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors: two sons, Dr. Gordon (wife, Celia Maria) Ritter and Gary (wife, Judith Ann) Ritter, both of Prescott, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services: 3 p.m. Sunday, Waverly United Methodist Church. Burial: Waverly East Cemetery. Neece Funeral Home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements. |
