Hollis G. Lane of Wickenburg died Dec. 29 in Wickenburg. She was 88. Mrs. Lane was born June 26,1908 in Mills, Neb. She had lived in Arizona for the past 15 years, coming from Oregon.

Mrs. Lane moved from Nebraska to Oregon in 1934 and lived there until she retired to Wickenburg in 1981. She worked the majority of her life as a waitress and as a clerk in a dry cleaning establishment.

Mrs. Lane was quite handy with crochet hooks and enjoyed crocheting afghans, slippers and doilies. She was involved with and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg and will be remembered as a great cook and mother.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Ruby Lane of Wickenburg; son and daughter-in-law and Harley and Margie Lane of Los Alamos, N M.; sister Margaret Stockoel of Gresham, Ore.; granddaughter Trisha Lane; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law Cynthia and Rod Mettler, Lynn and Jim Moffat, and Tammy and Tip Woodford; and great-grandchildren Walter and April Mettler, Todd, Jackie and Adam Breault, Brian, Marilyn and Jessica Moffat, and Tyler Woodford.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Martha and Lela.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. at Frey Funeral Home. Pastor James Longstreet will officiate.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
