Hugh William (Bill) Aber

H. W., “Bill” Aber of Lake Havasu City and Yarnell, died Dec. 27 in Lake Havasu City. He was 71.

Mr. Aber was born Feb. 10, 1925 in Mount Sterling, Ill. He had lived in Arizona the past 21 years.

Survivors include his son, R. E. Aber of Yarnell; daughter Judy Snyder of Morongo Valley, Calif.; grandchildren Jeff Aber, Jamie Aber and Tim Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Aber; parents George and Mary (Stuller) Aber; and grandson Ricky Aber II.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan 3 at American legion Post No. 79 in Yarnell. Officers of the American Legion post will officiate. Burial will be in Genung Memorial Park in Peeples Valley.

Mr. Aber was born Feb. 10, 1925 in Mount Sterling, Illinois. He had been a resident of Arizona for 21 years.

Mr. Aber was a member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160 and The Sons of American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell. He was a retired postmaster and finance officer for the United States Postal Service.

He is survived by his son R.E. Aber of Yarnell; daughter Judy Snyder of Morongo Valley, Calif.; grandchildren Jeff Aber, Jamie Aber and Tim Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ann (Dierking) Aber, who he married on June 1, 1951; parents George and Mary (Stuller) Aber: and grandson Ricky Aber II.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 at American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell, with American Legion officers officiating.

Interment will be at the Genung Memorial Park in Peeples Valley, Ariz. Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home, Inc. handled all the arrangements.
