Dortha P. Martin of Phoenix, and formerly of Wickenburg, died March 4 in Phoenix. She was 85.

Mrs. Martin was born Aug. 9. 1911 in Casco, Mich. She had lived in Arizona for the past 26 years.

Mrs. Martin was a past member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg.

She also was a past employee of the Best Western Rancho Grande in Wickenburg as a maid.

Her many hobbies included growing flowers, canning, watching sports, fishing and hunting.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband in 1977.

Survivors include her son Hank Rumzek; daughters Jacqulin D. Mann, Beverly Schneider and Shirley Reynolds; sisters Helen Brija and Fern Pelke; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. March 8 at the Wickenburg Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Golike officiating.

Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home, Inc. handled all the arrangements.
