The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, February 14, 2006 David Stacey Hanna, age 71, passed away peacefully February 7 of congestive heart failure in Prescott, Ariz. He was born July 31, 1934 in Desmoines, Iowa, son of Robert and Ruth Hanna. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Des Moines, Iowa, and received his Industrial Engineering degree from Iowa State in 1957. A member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was on the Iowa State swimming team. David served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant JG from 1957 to 1960. David invented & manufactured a liquid soap dispensing showerhead, the Suds 'n Shower in 1972. Retired 1999 as president of Shower Times USA, Inc., Fullerton, Calif. and moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz. with his wife Jan. David is survived by his wife Jan of Prescott Valley; two sons, Robert, of Prescott Valley, Michael of Fort Worth, Texas; and three daughters, Denise Vilmos of Riverside, Calif., Stacey Bartell of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jodi Lack of Orange, Calif. Dave adored his seven grandchildren; Tanner & Trevor Lack, Jacob, Brooke & Rebecca Bartell and Micah & Nathanael Hanna. David was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Hanna Trump, his father Robert Hanna and step-mother Bernice Hanna. A celebration of Dave's life will be held March 13, 11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, Prescott Ariz. Memorials may be directed to Calvary Chapel, PO Box 2035, Prescott, Ariz., 86302.
