Duane Fred Snyder, 88, died Sept. 30, 2006 at home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel. The funeral there will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas. Mr. Snyder was born Oct. 21, 1917 in Rockford, Kan., to Fred M. and Amy A. (Drennon) Snyder. He lived in Arizona for 45 years and was known as a good salesman and trader with a good eye for autos, jewelry and all kinds of goods. He had a gift of gab and could make people laugh with his stories, even if they had been heard before. He was known as positive, strong, dependable, honest, loyal and hard-working and loved his dog "Coyote." Survivors include five daughters, Carol Haggard of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Barbara Moreno of Highland, Calif., Nancy Gallaher of Auburn, Calif., Linda Brown of Rosarito, Mexico, and Marilynn Ellis of Show Low; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. ©Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc. 2006 |
