| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 12, 1962, p. 4 Malapanes Rites Held In Phoenix Memorial services for Nicholas Malapanes, father of Hercules and Peter Malapanes of Wickenburg, were scheduled to be held Thursday of this week in the Greek Orthodox Church in Phoenix with burial following in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr Malapanes, 69, died Sunday in a Phoenix hospital. A native of Greece, Mr Malapanes had resided in Phoenix since 1945 and was a retired chef. He worked at the Hotel Westward Ho, Sky Lark and Mountain Shadows. In addition to the two Wickenburg sons, survivors include two other sons, Vasileos of Scottsdale and James of Phoenix; the widow, Agnes; four daughters, Mrs Stella Scaria, Mrs Georgia Favour, Mrs Effie Churchill and Mrs Mary McGann, all of Phoenix; three brothers, Hercules of Wickenburg and James and Dioniesion, both of Greece; a sister, Miss Ann Panajota Malapanes of Greece and 12 grandchildren. |
