Alan John Schuster Sr., 67, former Flagstaff resident, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at his home in Chino Valley.

Mr. Schuster was born April 30, 1939, in Germantown, Wis. He was the owner/operator of Beefway Ranch in Chino Valley for 34 years. He enjoyed raising cattle, hunting and going to the horse races.

He is survived by children Mark Schuster of Prescott Valley, Laurie Schuster of Tucson, John Schuster (Crystal) of Chino Valley, Alan J. Schuster Jr. (Mary) of Chino Valley, and Adam Schuster (Chelsie) of Chino Valley; sisters, MaryJean Bublitz (John) and Doreen Evans (Richard), both of Flagstaff; brother Lee Schuster (Sue) of Flagstaff; two grandchildren; three nieces and seven nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Schuster Jr. and Margaret Schuster.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at Chino Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 480 W. Palomino, with services to follow at 2 p.m. at St. Catherine LaBoure Catholic Church. Interment will be in Chino Valley Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Chino Valley Funeral Home.
