Alice Nichols Getsinger, 91, born in Phoenix, Arizona Territory on August 30, 1911, died in Camp Verde, Arizona, March 13, 2003.

She lived in many Arizona locales during her long life, including Prescott, Jerome, Kingman and Phoenix.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Phoenix, and of First Baptist Church, Camp Verde. She was a Girl Scout leader, active in the PTA at Kenilworth School, and taught Sunday School. She was a member of First Families of Arizona, Camp Verde Historical Society, and the Arizona Mineralogical Society. She was an avid reader and a master of the English language.

Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Floyd R. Getsinger, she is survived by their three daughters, Judy Hadlock, Emily Burns and Cecy Gilbert four grandchildren, Jim and Debbie Hadlock, Matthew Paz and Krista Gilbert her sister, Jewell Ashby, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a caring and thoughtful daughter and sister, a devoted and loyal wife, and a loving, caring, involved mother.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Camp Verde, 646 S. First St., Camp Verde, on Tues., March 18, 2003, at 11:00 a.m.
