Margaret "Peggy" Cartier, born in Minneapolis, Minn., on Oct. 1, 1954, left behind a life-time of love, laughter and 53 years of making a difference in life.

Peggy was a teacher to all that knew her, as well as in the classroom for 27 years. She was passionate about her work; with her ceaseless dedication, she touched the lives of hundreds of children throughout her magnificent career. Peggy lived her faith along with her philosophy of "always use good judgment," imparting that message as she made her way through life.

Raised in Minnesota, Peggy moved with her family to Prescott to finish high school. There she met and married the love of her life, Tim, in 1975. They moved to Tucson where she completed her teaching degree at U of A.

Raising their two children Katie and Tom was the highlight of her life. Peggy and Tim spent the past two years on an epic adventure of travel, where Peggy learned to love fishing in Alaska, sailing in the Caribbean and riding ATVs in the-Black Hills of South Dakota.

Peggy is survived by her husband Tim Cartier daughter Katie Cartier; son Tom Cartier; parents Robert and Arlene Aarskaug; brother, Tom Aarskaug; and sister Sandy Koenig, along with countless extended family.

Peggy's smile and laughter could, light up life itself. She has left us with a lifetime of memories. We will miss her forever.

Memorial services will be from 7 to 9 pm Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Messinger Mortuaries, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Ariz.

A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 30 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E. Greenway, Phoenix. Ariz. A reception will follow mass at St. Joan of Arc.
