| The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Wednesday, February 28, 2007 Carl 'Brod' Norling Carl Anton "Brod" Norling, 76, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 23, 2007. He was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., to Karl Anton Norling I and Victoria Gornick Norling. As a child, he attended the St. Catherine's Elementary. Brod enjoyed fishing, watching football, and visiting with his family and friends. He was married to the late Vera Blaser Norling. He leaves behind his daughter, Deborah Blake (Kenyon) of Scottsdale; his sisters, Maureen Greatorex (Dick) of Phoenix, and Mary Jean Porea (Del) of Michigan; and one grandchild.
