| The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona February 28, 2007 Joe M. Stateham-Burgan Joe Minyard Stateham-Burgan, 77, of Cottonwood, died Feb.19, 2007. He was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, to Dea and Rose Couch Burgan. He attended the University of Texas for four years where he received his BA. He was also in the Navy for four years. Joe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Cottonwood. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Marilyn "Gigi" Stateham-Burgan of Cottonwood and two sons Mark Dea Burgan and Don Lee Burgan both of Tyler, Texas. |
