The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, July 26, 2001 Steve Rodinis, 72, of Prescott Arizona, passed away on July 23, 2001. Steve was born December 12, 1928 to Steve Rocco & Nicoletta (Fucich) Rodinis in Brooklyn, NY. Steve's mother, Nicoletta died when Steve Jr. was four years old. His Father married Frances, and she raised Steve Jr. Steve graduated from high school, then attended Edward Bok Vocational School. The Rodinis family moved to Phoenix in 1948 from Philadelphia, PA. He worked for MMP Foley Company as an electrician. He married Rita Guethle in 1960. Rita preceded Steve in death in 1981. Steve retired from MMP Foley in 1990. Steve married Karen Jorgensen on December 27, 1991, and the couple moved to Prescott in 1993. They have been members of Sacred Heart Parish since their move. Steve has been active in the Knights of Columbus and the Prescott Community Cupboard. Steve played saxophone in various bands. He enjoyed woodworking and loved playing with his grandchildren. His wife, Karen Rodinis, survives Steve, also, daughters: Carolyn & Ken Hickel of Peoria, Arizona, and Tina & Kevin Jackson of Peoria, Arizona Sons, Stephen & Christine Rodinis of Glendale, Arizona, and Rick Rodinis of Phoenix, Arizona Step Daughters, Kathy & Richard Bean, and Gina & Phil Rayer Step Sons, Frank Spinelli, and Jim & Stacy Spinelli Brother, Peter & Mildred Rodinis of Wickenburg, Arizona sister, Mary Holton of Sewell, New Jersey and 11 grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. and Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home Chapel at 303 South Cortez on Thursday, July 26, 2001. Funeral Mass is set for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 27, 2001 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dick Farrell officiating. Burial and Committal service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 28, 2001 at St. Francis Cemetery at 5005 E. Oak Street in Phoenix, Arizona. Memorial Donations may be made in Steve Rodinis' name to: The American Lung Association and to the Arthritis Foundation.
