Edna Elizabeth McMinn Griggs, 86, of Prescott Arizona, passed away May 25, 2002 at Prescott Samaritan Village in Prescott. She was born December 27, 1915 in Peru, Indiana, daughter of Hugh and Clara (Owen) McMinn.

Edna Elizabeth McMinn Griggs went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2002, She was active in the Methodist church Basketball and Softball teams she was also active in School plays, Musicals, Piano and Voice because she loved to sing and dance.

Edna was a kind, smart and funny loving soul who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Edna married her high school sweetheart Kenny in 1940 and moved to Phoenix where they raised their two daughters.

They moved to Prescott where they retired in 1978. Her family said she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother friend and wonderful homemaker. She loved her music, gardening, and traveling. Edna was a member of Phoenix womens club, garden club the Nile and Mingus View Presbyterian Church in Prescott Valley. S

he and her husband Ken shared 60 years of marriage together before his death in July 2000.

The Family of Edna wishes to thank everyone at Prescott Samaritan Village for the loving care they gave to Edna in her final years.

Survivors: Daughters and Son In Laws: Elaine and Paul Wulff- Prescott, Az, Linda and Joe Kimes- Huntington Beach, Calif. Grandchildren Aaron Wulff- Prescott, Dina Whitney - Hartsdale, Conneticut, Blaine Whitney - Garden Grove, Calif. and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services for Edna will be held Thursday, May 30, 2002 at 1:00 PM at Prescott Samaritan Village, 1030 Scott Drive, Prescott with Chaplain Al Bentley officiating at the services. Remembrances may be made in Edna's name to the Alzheimer's Association Northern Arizona Chapter, 225 Grove Ave, Prescott, Az 86301.
