Dorothy Elizabeth Tompkins, 84, of Camp Verde, Arizona passed away October 28, 2005 of acute leukemia, and she will surely be missed. Dorothy was born on April 19, 1921 in Fountain, Colo., and was daughter to Dena and Carl Smith (both deceased) of Escondido, Calif.

Dorothy was sister to Edward Smith (deceased), Lucille Crawford Evans (deceased), Cora Nell Swain of Escondido, Calif. and was married to Clinton Tompkins (deceased).

Dorothy was a graduate of Escondido High in 1939.

She leaves behind her oldest daughter Erlene Wokmunskie of Lakeside, Calif.; daughter Dena Doyle of Calhoun, Tenn.; son Edward Tompkins of San Diego, Calif.; and daughter Penny Cook of Camp Verde, Ariz. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.

Dorothy was well-traveled from Chula Vista, Calif., to Faribault Minn., and finally rested in Camp Verde, Ariz. since 1985.

Private family services were held.
