William Glen Winters, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at his home in Prescott, Arizona. He was born December 30, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona; the son of Orval and Louise (Stevens) Winters.

William served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years.

He later married Linda Sue Shira on October 25, 1978.

William worked as a quality engineer for Honeywell until he retired.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Glendale, Arizona.

He loved helping others and was a spectator sports enthusiast. He was a loving husband and father who will be missed dearly.

William is survived by his wife, Linda, children; Richard (Kelly) Winters of Cle Elum, Wash., Stacey Winters of West Valley City, Utah, and Scott Winters of Glendale, Arizona. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Chelsea, Shana, Matthew, Taylor, Kyle, Devon, Sheridan, two great-grandchildren, and a special aunt and uncle, Sara Lee and Bill E. Aycock.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 31st Avenue and Camelback Rd. in Phoenix, Arizona.

Final inurnment will take place at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona at a later date.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
