Helen Susan McDermott Hart, daughter of Peter Joseph McDermott (who came from Ireland) and Betty Louise Coombes of OK. was born Jan. 1, 1913 in Woodward, OK. and passed away to a better place on Feb. 9, 2006 to be in the hands of her Lord and Savior.

She was a Police Sgt. in the city of Kingman, Ariz. for 18 years and received many awards including special recognition from the FBI.

She was also active in community affairs including the Museum of the Arts, Women Making History. She was also past president of the Kingman Soroptomist Club and the Republican Womens Club.

With the help of her late beloved husband of 55 years Kenneth N. Dick Hart she had 7 surviving children, Marge, Bud, Ruth, Bobby, Kathy, Harriett and Joe who worshiped the ground she walked on and she loved each and everyone of them the most.

A celebration of this beautiful half Irish and half Okie's life will be in Kingman. Ariz., on Sat. Feb. 18 at the LDS Church, 3180 Rutherford Dr. with viewing at 9:00 a.m. and services at 10:00 a.m.

Burial following at Chloride Cemetery, Chloride, Ariz.
