Vernal Loren Hutt, 82, of Cottonwood, Arizona died November 11. He was born July 3, 1923 in Newman Grove, Nebraska.

He was a long-time resident of Dallas with his wife, Lurleene S. Hutt, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hutt was a retired automobile wholesaler, and a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Dallas.

In Arizona, he attended Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

Mr. Hutt was an Army veteran of World War II and was serving at Schofield Barracks when Pearl Harbor was bombed.

He is survived by a son, Douglas Hutt of Rockwall; daughters, Diane Davis of Dallas and Gayle Kirsch of Sedona, Arizona; brothers, Rodney Hutt of Madera, California and Donald Hutt of Modesto, California; a sister, Dona Short of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22 at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the chapel.
