Paul E. Fabritz, 74, of Cottonwood, Arizona, died on Wednesday, February 27th. He was born April 7, 1927 in Ottumwa, Iowa.

He was raised in Ottumwa and after graduating from high school, he attended Creighton University and completed business training at the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa.

He and his family moved to Arizona in 1954. The Fabritz family lived for a long time in Flagstaff. When his family was young, Paul volunteered as a youth baseball coach during the 1960's. Mr. Fabritz was a sales representative. He worked for the R. J. Reynolds Corporation and United Beverage Company. His job took him all over the state of Arizona from 1961 until his retirement in 1991.

Paul and his wife moved to Cottonwood after his retirement.

He was an avid golfer and one of the first part time employees at Pine Shadows Golf Course. He also enjoyed fishing when he was younger.

Paul was a lifetime member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks. He demitted to the Jerome Elks Lodge #1361 in April of 1992. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood.

Mr. Fabritz is survived by his wife of fify two years, Pat Fabritz a daughter: MaryAnne Fabritz of Cottonwood Sons: Mark Fabritz of Flagstaff Matthew Fabritz and his wife Terry of Cottonwood Michael Fabritz and his wife Sandy of Flagstaff Martin Fabritz and his wife Sandra of Queen Creek two sisters: Martha Anne Markley of Newton, lowa Mary Teresa Mitchell of Ottumwa, Iowa and eleven grandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Friday evening, March 1st, 7:00 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, 401 N. Willard Street in Cottonwood. Father Bud Pelletier will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m.. on Saturday, March 23rd.

Inurnment will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
