Lt. Col. Frank Bigley (U.S. Army Ret.), 95, of Prescott, Ariz., born April 8, 1913, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away Nov. 22, 2008 at his home in Prescott.

He is survived by his wife Joan; three sons; one daughter; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In his 32 and-a-half years of military service, for which he was honored with the Legion of Merit medal, Frank's assignments took him to virtually every country in the world. His retirement was enriched by frequent travels with his wife, Joan, which often included visits with his many friends both here and abroad.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice Care.
